The island
North Padre Island is a long barrier island along the Texas coast. Its northernmost section, down to the Kleberg County line, is inside the City of Corpus Christi, reached from Flour Bluff by the JFK Causeway across the Laguna Madre. Farther south is Padre Island National Seashore. The city portion includes single-family homes, canal homes with boat access, condos and many vacation rentals.
